MARLBORO COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — On Monday, Marlboro County deputies were dispatched to a reported fight in progress in the Clio area of Marlboro County.
Upon deputies’ arrival, they learned that Allen Platt had allegedly struck two people with an iron rod during a physical altercation and damaged a vehicle in the process, deputies said.
An on-scene investigation was conducted, and it was determined that Platt would be charged and transported to the Marlboro County Detention Center for the incident. Platt was injured in the incident and received medical treatment, deputies said.
Platt was charged with first degree assault and battery and second-degree malicious injury to property.
He is currently booked at the Marlboro County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
