The 14th annual Rick Mommsen Jr. & Steve Ditchfield Memorial Golf Tournament will be held
at Blackmoor Golf Club in Murrells Inlet, SC on Saturday November 13th with a shotgun start at
9:00 AM. Each year Blackmoor and its staff host players from all over South Carolina to help
raise funds for the Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation. All proceeds of this captain’s choice
tournament are donated to HPCF’s Camp Hands of Hope which is a grief and bereavement
camp for children ages 5-18 and their families who have recently lost a loved one. These
families attend a weekend long retreat held three times a year where they are involved in fun
and therapeutic activities to help them learn how to cope with their losses as well as memorial
activities and tools to assist them in their future daily lives. There are several ways that you can help contribute to this fundraising event for a great cause. 1. Play in the tournament- The cost per player is only $75 and includes cart and green
fees, beverages, breakfast from Chick-Fil-A Murrells Inlet and full lunch from Driftwoods
after the tournament. 2. Sponsor a hole- For only $100 you can have your personal message or company
name/logo placed on a hole of the course for all the participants to see. 3. Make a donation- Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit
foundation and all donations are tax deductible. For more information or to sign up to play, please visit
