Meet Lemon Drop
Lemon Drop is sweeter than a lollipop! She is the most gentle, calm, soft coated, floppy eared, classic mix of a hound you will ever meet. She is a typical laid back hound who loves kids, other animals and especially snuggling in your bed, if allowed. She absolutely loves the outdoors and this 7 years old, who weighs 50 lbs, still has some spunk in her. She needs someone to walk and play with. She is still working on leash training but loves adventures and slow afternoon strolls. A fenced yard is a plus.
Lemon Drop was out of time at the county shelter. She needed medical attention for heartworms, a mass on her leg and growths on her that didn’t look so great. We pulled her from the shelter, immediately started our vet visits and TLC. Lemon Drop had never been inside before and wasn’t crate or leash trained, but her foster family has done an amazing job at teaching her these things so she can live her best life once she is adopted. Lemon Drop will be a perfect addition for your loving family and will reward you immensely by showering you with love, calm you with her soulful eyes and will even will dance for you.
Lemon Drop is spayed, microchipped, crate trained, potty trained, up to date on vaccines, heartworm meds, flea prevention and being fostered in the Myrtle Beach SC area.

Meet Kahlua! Kahlua is a 2 year old, female, chocolate brown Pit mix. She came from a situation where she was being abused and mistreated. She has some scarring on her face from the abuse she has been through. Despite her rough start in life, Kahlua is a very sweet, gentle girl. She deserves a loving home to spend her days. Every volunteer who walks her has nothing but great things to say! She is friendly towards everyone when she goes on walks in the neighborhood. She also walks great on a leash and does not pull. She has been dewormed and vaccinated. She is heartworm positive, but her adoption fee will cover her heartworm treatment, as well as her spay.
Call us at 843-427-4388 to make an appointment to meet her! You must be at least 23 years old to adopt. Dog adoption fee includes spay/neutering and immunizations required based on age prior to adoption. Fees also include other medical and physical care provided while at the shelter.

About Kind Keeper Animal Rescue: Kind Keeper Animal Rescue was founded in 2014 as a small, private non-profit 501(c)(3) organization by Belinda Mairowicz. Kind Keeper’s mission is to actively rescue dogs and cats that are homeless, at high risk for euthanasia due to shelter over population, and often suffering from medical problems. This includes a high population of newborns, pregnant animals, as well as senior animals. We provide veterinary care, proper nutrition, training, exercise and prepare animals for adoption into the community. We are actively raising funds to build anew state of the art facility on recently purchased land in Longs SC, to rescue and re home many more animals in need in our community.
